Anthony has worked for 30 years in international public relations. His experience ranges from technology and telecommunication blue chips to educational and local government organisations. He spent 9 years as Head of PR for Psion plc, during a period of rapid change, as it evolved from a start-up to a FTSE100 company.
In 2001, Anthony returned to Ireland where he established Quinn Garvey PR which provides public relations and marketing services to small businesses in Ireland and the UK.
Anthony also runs Confident Presenting, which provides corporate and management training to companies throughout Ireland and the UK. And he is an award-winning speaker, representing his club in the Toastmasters UK and Ireland finals four times. In 2023 Anthony became the Toastmasters International UK Champion. Anthony is a DTM, (Distinguished ToastMaster) the highest educational award in the Toastmasters’ programme. He is a prolific writer and has written seven children’s books, including the highly acclaimed Gravespeakers series.
Anthony Garvey is married with two young sons, Zachary and Samuel and lives with his wife Siobhán in Tralee, in County Kerry.
